Breaking BREXIT: UK Commons pass Bill to trigger Article 50

House of Commons MPs voted by an overwhelming majority to begin the formal process of leaving the EU, by approving the triggering of Article 50.

The European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill was approved on its third reading by 494 votes to 122.

MPs also voted against EU nationals having the automatic right to remain in the UK. The bill now passes to the House of Lords for further consideration.
